Nearly the end of the hol's
Okay the last few days of the hol's - I am not looking forward to the boys going back to school - I love the hanging out at home, the lazy days, not having to do the morning rush , but alas all good things must come to an end!!
And it has been hot hot hot - sooo hot that I have been dreaming, okay obsessing about having a pool....
But enough of the obsessing, I have two days left with the boys so I will savour that!!

Real estate
I probably spend too much time looking at real estate on the computer - I love looking at the ordinary homes and seeing how they decorate - perhaps it is a little like being a voyeur!!
So recently I was looking at realestate.com.au and came across this home in St Kilda, Victoria - at $5.8mil it is a little out of my price range - the home is beautiful - but I am a little stumped about the photos - not sure if they are trying to sell the home or the clothing range!!
Full pics can be found at real-estate.com.au -Property No. 106975716 - the home is beautiful so worth a look see.

destination - Santorini
Sorry for my lax postings - it has been a busy week and I have had little energy or time to sit down and post - so once again my apologies!!
As I have sat watching the boys do swimming lessons over the last two weeks my mind has wandered the world - and I began to think of our holiday in Santorini - many many moons ago but the memories are so clear - so why not post about the island and lets have a look sees at where we could stay...

On the Rocks Hotel is at peak time around $600 per night - but what a view...
Or how about Carpe Diem - I am not sure how much of the day I would seize if I have such luxury surrounding me!!
naturally one would need to indulge in daily massages!!! |
Okay indulge me just once more as I dream of Santorini and staying at the San Antonio Hotel..
Back to reality - I have to get the boys ready for Cricket...bugger I was enjoying the dream! I wonder if I white washed the walls and painted all the furniture white....
Have a good weekend.

Queensland Australia
No desires for anything material, no whining about what I want, what I can't live without - my thoughts are with those in Brisbane who are currently facing a nervous wait as flood waters rise. Thoughts to all those families who have lost homes, who tonight have left homes behind not sure what they will return to.
Prayers and thoughts for all those affected by the floods in Queensland and Victoria.

The front room
Kath and Kim would call it the good room -but with two boys in tow and the fact that the space doubles as the extra TV room, with Wii and my study, really it is not a good room at all.
But at last the painting is finished - shelves up and I am now in the process of getting the room back in order.
So here is where we started..
and the end result is still a work in progress but I can dream...

Let's hang out
It has been hot - and with a cooling sea breeze in the afternoon there would be nothing, nothing better than hanging out - on the deck, kicking back with the breeze gently lulling me into a state of sheer bliss.... and as I am on holidays, really what do I have to rush for...

US NAVY CHAIR
The Emeco 1006 chair, also called the Navy chair, is an aluminium chair. Developed in the 1940's it build like the proverbial brick house - the design brief was that the chair needed to be able to withstand a torpedo blast to the side of a destroyer!!! (sounds more like a child's toy design than a chair).
So the story goes the chairs so durable that apparently when it was thrown out of a sixth-floor window at a Chicago furniture show, it survived undamaged except for a few scratches!!
I did some research on the chair and was going to dazzle you with my sheer intellectual force - but alas really the only thing that can be said is that this is one sexy chair - even the worst meal ever served to you could be edible if you dined sitting in the Navy chair!

A touch of being feminine
Okay - I am not a pink floral flounce type of girl - but at times I hanker after a soft feminine touch for our home - I am the only female in our house - even our four legged family member is male !!
So we are currently doing a wee pit of painting - the kids play room is now all white - and I am eager that we paint the front room - that would be the Royal We - I am eager but hate painting so my one true love does the painting - see I get bored half way though painting and then begin to paint sayings and pictures on the wall which really is not a good thing...
No argument on the wall color - white it will be - but how to inject a sense of femininity into the room - which double as my study area and a second TV room complete with the Wii - but how do I do this???
Perhaps a touch of pink is the go..
