The Church House
When our kids were younger our friends lived in a renovated church - it was cool, wide living areas, huge high ceilings and the kids loved it- what was also good was when the grandparents asked the kids what they had been doing they proudly told them that we had been to the church (tick tick). Pinteresting the other day I came across this cool church reno - I grew up living in a rectory, my dad is an man of the cloth so perhaps there is some sort of strange pull towards church renos and especially this one given it was Anglican church I grew up in. Let's hope the heating is good as my memories are of a freezing cold church in winter!!

Mr A's first job - Bread in Common Fremantle
When I first started this blog Mr A was 11 years old!! He is growing into a lovely young man -kind, considerate and great to have a chat with - and today he starts his first real part time job - he has done babysitting gigs before and helped alot at the local farmers market -at one time he had a stall making cakes and selling pre packaged cake mixes all done by himself - but today has a paid job being the juicer at a local Freo joint, Bread in Common.
Bread in Common is just groovy as - the place is always packed and they bake a fantastic loaf of bread - and the food is sensational - the love and my life and I went recently for our wedding anniversary.
The building was an old warehouse in Freo and when it came on the market I bought several lotto tickets in hope of a large financial windfall then we could buy the joint - but alas that was not to be - but no worries we still get to enjoy the place on a regular basis - when you do go down have the lamb it is sensational.
The bread (and home made butter) |
Front counter - take away sandwiches and coffee |
Bread - the bread ovens are called Hansel and Gretel and I am proud to say the love of my life had a big hand in the design an building of the ovens |
The bar- I think that this is where Mr A will be working the juicing machines |
At night - the lights are lovely - very whimsical |
always always busy |

A tribute to Alice
Alice- the back bone of the Brady household died today - and I can't believe she was only 88. The lady who kept the Brady household running like clock work and was able to help solve a plethora of problems in a half hour time slot never married or had children of her own. Apparently in the real world Alice was not so domesticated.
" I basically don’t do that well with children, although my sister says I’m a great aunt,”she told People, adding that she hates to cook.“When it’s my turn in the house,” she told the magazine, “we just eat out.”

Real Estate Stalking in ..Mosman Park
Closer to home, Mosman Park between river and sea, we could walk to the beach and it's quick train ride to Freo for work - but until Mr Little leaves primary school it will have to be a car drive back to the south of the river - I do prefer south of the river but for this house would cross the bridge. Listed here while it lasts.
