Real estate stalking...in Albert Park

Today we are in Albert Park - close to Melbourne city, and also St Kilda, there is the once year car rumble that would affect the peace and serenity but alas small price to pay - we would also need to ditch the kids (or they share a bedroom) - this place has a little Persian feel to it...listed here while it lasts

Real Estate stalling ... in Queenscliffe

My nan lived in Portarlington for along time and it was a given that when we visited we would "do" the  "Great Ocean Road"  each time - not always the whole length but various stages and places - one of my favourite places to visit was Queenscliffe (yes technically not the GOR as that really starts in Torquay but I lump it all together).  Queenscliffe is where you take to the ferry to Sorrento (which is on the Mornington  Peninsula.) SO where would I live if I moved to Queenscliff -  this place looks good for me...(here while listing lasts)

The house...

We will be moving next Saturday - was hoping to have a few days off work before the move and then a few days after but alas that is not going to happen due to being a staff down at work (but the upside is that the staff member is leaving and so many staff are pleased to see this person go) - so the next week will  be hectic - the floors are nearly down -  should all be done by Sunday arvo - they look fantastic,  photos do not do justice... and I have to say that I am very proud of the love of my life - he has never laid floor before!!!

We have a weekend of packing and getting ready to move  - the love of my life is finishing the floors  -and in between we have flippa ball (junior water polo) for Mr Little and 5am rowing for Mr A on Saturday  - but all is good.

Enjoy your weekend.

Chandelier in the bathroom

Okay I confess I have a little crush on chandeliers in bathrooms  -  it just seems so opulent and like you are now actually a grown up - we could in put a  chandelier in our new bathroom -just need to convince the love of my life that it would look good.  Maybe next house - we would design the bathroom to that a chandelier would take pride of place..

White linen

I am a sucker for white linen sheets - there is something crisp  and fresh about a bed dressed in white.

WHOOOOO We have the keys

I am full of a few glasses of bubbles - we at last have the keys to our new house !!

Decor....

I have spent the last year laying in bed trying to visualise what the new house will look like-  how our "stuff" will fit in  - this is the third house we have built so I guess we are no strangers to trying to visualise spaces etc from a plan - but now the task is how to decorate.. we are not purchasing any new furniture - we already have some great pieces...I have no fixed idea about any decor  - okay some fixed idea like just white walls ..some inspiration..so look forward to posting pic of our house and decor for you...not long now

Sunday Collector

I discovered this blog Sunday Collector sometime ago and recently they posted a wonderful recipe for Roasted Strawberries -my family love them and this is a great way to introduce new flavour to the kids...

Method
Clean and slice strawberries in to good size chunks. Place in a roasting dish and sprinkle with brown sugar. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and toss well. Roast in a 180 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve the strawberries (and syrup) with a good quality vanilla ice cream. I made puff pastry love hearts just for fun - simply paint the shapes with egg and pop in to the oven for 5 minutes.

Oh - on the house front - well all is done but we are now waiting for the bank to make the final payment and then we can at last get our hand on the keys - so more waiting....
